QA / Software Development Engineer in Test
ThroughPut, a pioneer in Supply Chain AI software is looking for qualified applicants with at least 5-7 years of experience as QA / Software Development Engineer in Test. If you take pride in making sure large scale set-ups and complex environments work seamlessly and bug free, this opportunity is for you. You will be working with a team of highly qualified engineers building platforms for industries as varied as Automotive Manufacturing, Food Manufacturing, Metal Fabrication, Retail & Parts Distribution, Transportation, Logistics etc.
Job Responsibilities:
- Gain understanding of product and business requirements and define necessary quality criteria for various levels of new release roll outs
- Establish testing and automation strategies to ensure coverage is effectively conducted across all software stacks
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Build automated UI & API tests using Selenium and other testing frameworks
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
Skill Requirements:
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in QA/SDET position
- Scripting & Tools: Experience with QA automation frameworks such as Selenium and writing automation scripts
- Attention to Detail: Does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project. Excellent ability to find product and system defects
- Persistence: Demonstrates tenacity and willingness to go the distance to get something done
- Analytical Skills: Leverage data and analytical skills to identify software bugs. Expert in debugging and isolating problems in complex service stacks using shell commands
- Teamwork & Communication: Reaches out to peers and cooperates with supervisors to establish an overall collaborative working relationship. Communicates information, ideas, and concepts clearly
- Ability to work in a rapidly evolving, fast paced start-up environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Location:
Seattle, WA region or Silicon Valley, CA region is nice-to-have but not required. Anywhere else remotely in the US works well if the candidate is accustomed to doing so, successfully completing projects remotely, and open to occasional travel (3-6 times per year) for team-building on/off-site meetings.
